About Therapy

Feeling Alone

Lately, you’ve been reliving past trauma and experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, relationship concerns, and life changes.

You haven’t been able to talk to your friends or family about it because you’re afraid of being judged. In fact, you find yourself filtering things you say or masking your true self.

You long for a welcoming and nurturing environment where you feel warm, safe, and supported.

Working Together

I am an EMDR and IFS therapist, also known as parts work, and my office is a place that allows you to be vulnerable and develop the strength to face things that feel too scary or impossible.

During our time together, we will explore limiting beliefs and past experiences that are negatively affecting your life today.

You will learn to manage stressors and develop tools to help you feel calm and comfortable in your life, and along the way, you’ll start to notice feelings of hope and relief.

Aside from EMDR and IFS Therapy, we may also use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and somatic techniques to support you in creating the life you want and the life you deserve.

The Therapy Process

I am not a “normal” therapist. I am a real person. I have found that the relationship in therapy is so important, which is why I value authenticity in the therapy process.

One of the most impactful parts of therapy is sharing with another person and not a robot who is void of emotions or human experience. We will laugh and maybe even cry together in session.

I work best with those who are committed to growth and eager to make a change in their lives. I am here to guide you, and it is a privilege to walk this path with you.

About Suzanne Kocher, MA, LPC-S

HeadshotsBackground

I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling from Texas State University – San Marcos. I have had the honor of working in this field for over 15 years in various settings.

My previous experience includes working in schools, community mental health, inpatient facilities, and even in the corporate world (gasp!) serving as a Behavioral Health trainer and overseeing Behavioral Health Policies and Quality Improvement Activities.

I bring my past experiences, both professionally and personally, into my work; I have found that showing up as my whole self provides a richer and more beneficial experience for my clients.
